Location: Fullerton, CA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $200,000 – $215,000 annually

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Trial Attorney to manage a semi-autonomous caseload with high exposure. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of civil litigation experience, including proven first-chair trial experience, and the ability to oversee cases from inception through appeal. Candidates must have successfully handled both jury and bench trials in California State Superior Court.

This is a hybrid role: the first two weeks will be onsite in Fullerton, CA, followed by a hybrid schedule with occasional in-person meetings as needed. Candidates must remain local.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of civil litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial, and appeal.

Handle jury selection, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and precedents.

Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries, and maintain communication records.

Coordinate with trial experts and manage evidence preparation.

Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.

Monitor changes in laws and regulations, advising clients on potential impacts.

Maintain regular client communication and provide status updates.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active California Bar membership.

Minimum of 10 years of civil litigation experience.

First-chair experience in at least:

10 jury trials taken to verdict.

5 bench trials taken to verdict.

Trial practice and jury selection (voir dire).

Civil law areas including contract, tort, government tort, personal injury, and public entity litigation.

Motion drafting and deposition execution.

State and Federal court proceedings and administrative procedures.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
