Overview The Associate Director of Marketing role is to help execute the company’s promotional campaigns and educational activities for parents, caregivers, and people living with PWS. This role will provide strategic and tactical oversight in the development and deployment of patient facing unbranded and branded marketing initiatives. The Associate Director, Patient Marketing will build collaborative relationships with the broader marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders across commercial, medical, and operations. Externally, this person will work closely with the AOR and other partners to lead strategy and tactical plan execution. This role reports to the Director, Patient Marketing.

Responsibilities

Help execute overall PWS treatment DTP/HCP tactics across multiple mediums, including digital, print, omnichannel, etc.

Translate market research insights to enhance promotional strategies and tactics.

Develop effective, culturally competent patient materials and messaging for PWS patients and community partners.

Partner with patient advocacy, brand, and medical teams to design caregiver-focused live events; collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with brand strategy and champion the voice of the patient.

Manage agency partners to ensure tactical excellence and KPIs are met.

Help execute a patient ambassador program for the PWS community.

Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.

Analyze competitive digital presence to guide campaigns.

Lead the creation and execution of branded and unbranded patient and HCP promotional tactics.

Execute the digital marketing strategy to support brand awareness, HCP engagement, and patient education across product lifecycle.

Drive creation of key HCP/DTC media assets to support the overall media strategy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated efforts and patient voice in initiatives.

Qualifications

Expertise in rare disease patient and caregiver marketing.

Strong business acumen, leadership, budget management, and ability to drive results.

Integrity, collaboration, adaptability, and entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude.

Excellent planning, negotiation, project management, and relationship-building skills.

Collaborative with ability to influence in a matrix environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 4 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare.

Experience with DTC and HCP digital marketing, ideally in a launch or commercial-stage setting.

Strong understanding of FDA/OPDP promotional guidelines, including digital advertising compliance, fair balance, and MLR/PRC processes.

Experience managing rare disease or specialty drug campaigns preferred.

Proven success in omnichannel marketing (paid media, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, social media).

Experience managing external agencies, digital vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Salary Range:

$195,000 - $220,000

(Actual salary at the time of hire may vary based on qualifications, skills, and location.)
