CGTN America is the Washington News Bureau for China Central Television ("CCTV"), which, through a division named the China Global Television Network ("CGTN"), offers multi-language news channel that is broadcast to over 100 English speaking countries, including the United States. About the role:
We are now seeking an Executive Producer for Digital team to join CGTN America. Responsibilities
Responsible for all content production for all digital media output for CGTN America and CGTN Create innovative content and product in support of future initiatives Optimizing content for social sharing with the goal of building an engaging the digital audience Liaise with CGTN America/CGTN’s TV programming team and develop a well-rounded and creative production team Establish an effective workflow for this team Display creativity and enterprise in responsibility for the overall vision, content, editorial planning, and day to day operations Oversee planning calendar and team work schedules Work collaboratively with other teams such as assignment editors, operations, creatives, reporters, digital producers and guest bookers Maintain confidentiality and security of all data, records, files, credit cards, blank checks, etc. Support other members of the Finance Office. Perform other duties as assigned. Candidate requirements
BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications or related field strongly preferred 5+ years working experience in news digital platforms 3+ years of management experience within a digital production department Proficient in Photoshop and Premiere (or similar non-linear program) Design, develop and maintain software for the company website, and other digital platforms Ability to juggle multiple tasks and switch gears quickly Writing and editing stories for presentation on website and digital platforms Experience creating posts for and managing multiple social media channels SEO techniques, Google Analytics and digital trends Knowledge of and interest in international news Flexibility to work various shifts and holidays, as needed Maintain awareness of the best practices and trends in the wider digital sector and a second language are all pluses Contact us to apply To apply, please send resume to resumes@cgtnamerica.com Seniority level
