Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, writing, editorial, marketing, or related, including leading content strategy projects. Experience on UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects. Experience working in sensitive content areas that require partnership with legal and policy. Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. About the job As a UX writer, you are an advocate for Google design, shaping product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete tasks. You help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. As a stellar writer, your portfolio of work demonstrates content that simplifies and beautifies the overall user experience. You work with people in a variety of UX design-related roles including researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing and customer operations. You collaborate with each to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. You regularly use empathy, logic and data to inform content choices and recommendations that include the right words and sometimes complementary data and images. As a UX Writer and Content Designer on the Trust and Quality team, you’ll help lead what’s next for Search by shaping clear, reliable, and high-quality experiences focusing on generative AI. You’ll develop and implement innovative content strategies, patterns, and training methods, leveraging user feedback and data to evolve interactions in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. You’ll collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and modeling teams to build user confidence and elevate the quality and trustworthiness of Search AI experiences. Develop and execute impactful content strategies, crafting clear, user-centered content, guidelines, and standards for critical user journeys across a range of experiences, including generative AI responses. Evolve, implement, and govern scalable content systems, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistent quality and effectiveness across all user touch points. Contribute to content design projects from discovery, strategic planning, stakeholder alignment through execution and iterative refinement, resolving challenges. Lead user understanding by leveraging research, testing, and data to translate concepts and user needs into clear, accessible, and intuitive language and UX strategies. Collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners (Design, Research, PM, Engineering, Legal, Marketing) to shape product strategy, advocate for user needs (including accessibility and inclusivity), and deliver cohesive experiences.
