Develop and lead the company's budgeting and forecasting processes Analyze financial statements and operational performance to provide insights for decision-making Identify financial risks and opportunities to improve business performance Collaborate with internal stakeholders, operations, and project accounting teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting Lead scenario analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling projects Business & Strategic Support
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making Support sector leaders by evaluating potential projects, joint ventures, or other project investments Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor project profitability and company performance Analyze market trends, competitors, and peer performance, as well as economic factors impacting the business Cost Control & Financial Management
Ensure accurate job cost tracking, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and variance analysis Monitor labor recovery and SG&A costs to improve profitability Implement cost-saving strategies and efficiency improvements Partner with sector leaders and other department heads to optimize resource allocation Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting package for executive leadership Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, internal controls, and industry regulations Work with external auditors, lenders, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor the FP&A team, providing training and career development opportunities Foster collaboration between finance, operations, and executive leadership Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred 5-7+ years of financial planning and analysis experience at a larger scale organization, with at least 1-3 years within a startup organization being strongly preferred Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities Expertise in accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting Advanced Excel experience is required Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to present financial insights to executive leadership in a clear and actionable manner Strong leadership and team management abilities Additional Preferred Experience
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SaaS) is preferred Understanding of revenue recognition Prior experience within a startup organization Experience with contract financial management, including change orders and progress billings Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and or AI Company-specific accounting principles Knowledge of SaaS tools The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
