About this role:
The candidate will be a member of the Corporate Debt Finance team with primary focus on origination and execution of Broadly Syndicated CLO transactions. This role encompasses the following key responsibilities:
Manage deal team and process for primarily Broadly Syndicated CLO transactions as well other capital markets transactions.
Coordinate the CLO execution process with client, equity, rating agencies, syndicate, etc to drive the successful execution.
Focus on the origination of Broadly Syndicated Loan CLO transactions through coverage of both asset managers and key market investors to drive BSL CLO origination for the platform
Work closely with SPG Syndicate on a broad coverage process for CLO managers to help ensure the broadest reach of client coverage
Coordinate with internal parties across Leveraged Loan Sales and Trading, FIG, Markets SRMs, CLO Sales and Trading, etc to help drive origination activity across BSL CLOs
Act as a primary relationship manager for key accounts
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in CLOs or leveraged credit.
Desired Qualifications:
Proven client relationships with both CLO managers and investors
Extensive product knowledge and technical expertise
Required licensing must be completed within 90 days of hire date
BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance or economics
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving landscape
Ability to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner
Job Expectations:
Required licensing SIE, S63, S79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents
Base Salary for this role in NY, NY is $300,000-$300,000
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
