Datacenter Architect
Oracle Multi Cloud Engineering is seeking a Data Center Architect to design, implement, and manage our mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in server hardware, networking, virtualization, cloud integrations, and security to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in data center operations. On-site role with occasional travel to remote data centers. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 15+ years of experience in data center engineering, network administration, or infrastructure management. Expertise in server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco UCS) and enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, NVMe). Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, SD-WAN). Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet), load balancers, and VPNs. Deep experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible). Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Experience with disaster recovery, backup solutions, and business continuity planning. Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications include CCNP, CCIE, VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and DCCA. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices. Knowledge of AI-driven monitoring tools and predictive analytics for data center operations. Familiarity with ITIL framework, DevOps methodologies, and Agile environments. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
