Our work depends on a Software/Cloud Architect joining our team to manage and identify high-level technical specifications, support application design, and lead cloud computing strategy and adoption. The role will focus on integrating software applications into secure, resilient, and scalable cloud-based systems.
HOW A SOFTWARE/CLOUD ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Manage and define high-level technical specifications for software applications and system architectures.
Lead cloud computing strategy and adoption to support MARFORCYBER missions.
Design data models, develop interface specifications, and ensure systems meet performance and security requirements.
Operate and troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure to ensure availability and resiliency.
Provision and configure cloud resources while ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Monitor and optimize system performance in cloud environments.
Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical guides.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into functional, secure, and scalable cloud-based systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in software architecture, cloud architecture, or related fields.
Proficiency with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
Experience with cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing.
Strong understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and compliance.
Ability to define system architecture, design data models, and develop interface specifications.
Experience maintaining technical documentation and system architecture diagrams.
TS/SCI (or eligible).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with MARFORCYBER and USCYBERCOM operational environments.
Location:
On Customer Site - MARFORCYBER. (Hybrid/Remote may be considered with approval).

The likely salary range for this position is $212,500 - $287,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
