Job Description Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
to provide service as an
Independent Contractor (1099) . The NP will conduct disability evaluations, provide independent medical opinions, and perform occupational health examinations for federal employees, military reservists, and other government personnel. This role is focused on
examination and documentation
rather than ongoing treatment. The ability to
complete documentation and reports within strict deadlines
is paramount to success in this role.
Very Flexible 1-2 days per week in clinic at West Palm Beach clinic for face-to-face appointments. Reports may be completed from home
(Note: additional per-diem opportunities at Vero Beach and Palm Coast)
$$ Our fee-schedule for exams is among the highest nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Disability Assessments Conduct comprehensive medical and psychological evaluations for disability determinations.
Review medical records, patient history, and supporting documentation.
Provide objective medical opinions regarding causation, aggravation, functional status and impairment levels.
Complete required disability assessment forms and reports
accurately and within required timeframes .
Occupational & Fitness-for-Duty Exams Perform occupational health examinations for federal employees, military reservists, and government personnel.
Administer physical exams, vision/hearing screenings, and other relevant assessments.
Provide medical clearance and fitness-for-duty determinations.
Document findings promptly to ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
Clinical & Administrative Duties Ensure examinations are performed in a professional, timely, and standardized manner.
Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant medical records within the EMR system.
Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
Collaborate with clinic staff to support smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
Prioritize timely completion of all reports and submissions to meet federal and contractual deadlines.

(AANP or ANCC) required. (Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology preferred)
Minimum
2+ years of clinical experience ; prior occupational health, disability, VA, or government exam experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and report-writing skills.
Proven ability to meet strict deadlines
without compromising quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
