Position Overview: Resource Innovations is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Director in

Chicago, IL

to lead and oversee a portfolio of large-scale C&I and residential energy efficiency programs. This role combines strategic program management, client relationship leadership, team mentorship, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program design and implementation, a strong understanding of energy efficiency best practices across market sectors, and the ability to drive measurable impact for utility clients. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design, management, and execution of C&I and residential energy efficiency programs, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and regulatory requirements. Manage and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering technical excellence and professional growth. Maintain client relationships, present program results, and support business development opportunities. Oversee program budgets, staffing, resource allocation, and performance metrics. Ensure quality control of all deliverables and adherence to schedules. Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices, enhance program impact, and drive innovation. Provide regular forecasts and reporting to support corporate and business unit planning. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 7+ years of experience managing or implementing energy efficiency or demand response programs for North American utilities. Minimum 4+ years of direct supervisory experience. Strong understanding of both C&I and residential energy efficiency program design, implementation, and evaluation. Proven ability to manage large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Excellent communication, client management, and leadership skills. Ability to travel locally within the Chicagoland area (~30%) and maintain regular in-office presence in downtown Chicago. The compensation range for this exempt position is $122,312 - $244,625. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This range may be exceeded for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience. Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check.
