BSN Theory Instructor

to join our academic team. This adjunct position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced nursing professionals to instruct nursing students in theoretical foundations of nursing practice. Our faculty plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals, supporting ICHS' mission to deliver innovative and quality education. Located in the vibrant Boynton Beach area of Florida, ICHS is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare professionals through innovative educational approaches.

Purpose The BSN Theory Instructor provides comprehensive classroom instruction to nursing students in theoretical concepts, evidence-based practices, and nursing foundations. This role ensures students develop critical thinking skills, theoretical knowledge, and professional behaviors necessary for safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities Academic Instruction & Teaching Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction in nursing theory courses Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with course objectives and learning outcomes Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to accommodate various learning styles Provide timely, constructive feedback and evaluate student academic performance Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment Curriculum Implementation Collaborate with academic leadership to deliver theoretical content aligned with BSN program outcomes Integrate evidence-based practices and current nursing standards into instruction Participate in the development and evaluation of theoretical curriculum as needed Professional Communication & Collaboration Maintain open, professional communication with faculty, administration, and students Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities Participate in program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives Administrative Duties Complete accurate and timely documentation of student attendance, progress, and evaluations Report any student concerns to the appropriate academic leadership Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards Requirements:

Qualifications Education / Experience / Knowledge

•Unencumbered Florida or Compact State RN License required •Minimum 4 years’ clinical experience as an RN required •Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred •Experience in clinical instruction, preceptorship, or nursing education preferred

Required Skills

•Strong theoretical knowledge in nursing foundations and practice •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and foster student growth •Proficiency with learning management systems and Microsoft Office Suite •Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams •Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct

Additional Requirements

•Must reside within commuting distance of Boynton Beach, Florida •This is not a remote position; on-site presence for classroom instruction is required •Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed
