Job Description We are seeking a proven Senior Network Engineer to join a leading enterprise-scale IT team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and support of cloud and hybrid networking solutions across large-scale environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in routing/switching and Cisco data center technologies, as well as experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS.
This position is engineering-focused (not purely support) and will play a key role in enterprise projects while also serving as a Tier 3 escalation point.
Responsibilities Design, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments (Azure, AWS, Cisco ACI). Manage advanced connectivity solutions including Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and BGP routing. Support hybrid environments integrating Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls (hardware & VM), and VPNs. Serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and participate in on-call rotation. Troubleshoot performance, security, and connectivity challenges across enterprise networks. Perform capacity planning, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning. Evaluate new technologies, recommend improvements, and contribute to network strategy. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, standards, and configurations. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent technical experience). 7+ years of enterprise-level network engineering experience. Deep expertise in routing/switching (BGP required, OSPF secondary). Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, and data center networking. Proficiency in cloud networking (Azure, AWS). Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise ticketing systems. Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (hardware & VM). Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and automation tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, AWS certifications). Prior experience in large enterprise or Fortune 500 environments.
