General Responsibilities Implement disabilities and mental health program areas according to Head Start Performance Standards. Collaborate with community and local education agencies for Mental Health and Disabilities services for children 0-5 years old. Provide support and consultation to teachers. Organize and coordinate meetings with stakeholders to plan supports for children 0-5 years old. Monitor developmental screening results and make necessary referrals. Conduct Early Childhood Pre-School classroom observations and provide feedback and strategies to teachers. Meet with parents to discuss observations and provide strategies for home implementation. Participate in IEP/IFSP meetings as an advocate and support for families. Make adjustments to Early Childhood classroom spaces to reflect individual needs and goals of children 0-5 years old. Conduct home visits, site visits, and maintain accurate records of assessments and services provided. Serve as a member of the early childhood services team and Administrative Team. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Early Childhood Pre-School settings. Must be at least 19 years old. Competence to meet personnel qualifications as required in Part 407: Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers. Ability to read and understand Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP). Effective and constructive work with diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Passage of background clearance, physical, and TB test. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
