Elementary Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Now Hiring!
Our team is partnering with an Illinois school district in search of a passionate LBS1-certified Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This opportunity is perfect for educators who thrive in small-group settings, with a caseload capped at 10 students spanning no more than two grade levels.
As an LBS1 Specialist, you’ll provide targeted instruction that supports both academic and social-emotional development, all while aligning with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Collaboration with families, general education staff, and related service providers will be central to your work, ensuring a supportive and consistent approach to student success.
Position Summary: Track student growth, maintain records, and ensure IEP compliance.
Design engaging lessons that connect IEP goals with district curriculum.
Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for a caseload of up to 10 students.
Partner with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen student outcomes.
Teach across no more than two grade levels, allowing for concentrated and effective support.
Requirements
Prior experience in an educational setting.
Proven background as a Special Education Teacher or in a related role.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s preferred.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (required; no substitutes accepted).
