Instrumentation and Electrical Technician
A chemical company near Hammond, IN, needs an experienced I & E Tech. The position works primary with instrumentation, sensors, PLCs/controls, and low-voltage systems, etc, and focus on maintenance and troubleshooting.
Position: Troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of pneumatic, electronic, analog, and digital process control instrumentation. Use, interpret, etc, wiring and instrumentation diagrams Troubleshooting, maintenance and (some) repair of low voltage systems: wiring, motors, distribution, actuators, sensors, etc Troubleshoot systems utilizing Schematic Wiring Diagrams (SWD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) as they relate to process control. Extensive work with ProCal and site CMMS. Troubleshoot, maintenance and calibration of process monitoring and analytical systems “Hands-on” work – both alone and as part of the team
Required: HS degree/equivalent Associates degree +/- apprenticeships very much appreciated MUST have 3+ years with process controls and instrumentation in a chemical, oil, utility, steel, etc, operation Working knowledge of electrical systems Experienced with electrical safety
