Key Responsibilities: Project Assessment & Analysis: Conduct thorough site evaluations and project reviews to understand scope, complexity, and unique challenges for commercial pool construction projects.
Accurate Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive, detailed estimates that reflect true project costs while maintaining competitive positioning and healthy profit margins.
Blueprint & Specification Review: Analyze architectural drawings, engineering specifications, and client requirements to ensure estimates capture all project elements and potential challenges.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure accurate pricing and ensure estimate reliability.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to optimize project value through alternative materials, methods, or approaches that maintain quality while improving cost-effectiveness.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies to protect both client satisfaction and company profitability.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with sales and project teams to present estimates clearly, address client questions, and adjust proposals based on changing requirements.
Market Intelligence: Stay current on material costs, labor rates, and industry trends to ensure estimates remain competitive and accurate.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Construction Experience: Background in commercial construction, pool/aquatic construction, or related trades with strong understanding of project complexities and cost drivers.
Analytical Precision: Proven ability to analyze complex projects, interpret technical drawings, and translate specifications into accurate cost projections.
Relationship Builder: Natural ability to develop trusted partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining our family-like culture.
Technology Proficient: Experience with estimating software, construction management systems, and advanced Excel/spreadsheet applications.
Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Clear, proactive communication style with ability to explain complex estimates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
