Norwood Crossing is seeking a creative Life Enrichment Associate to join our team. We are nestled in a historic district called Norwood Park on Chicago's North side. Our Life Enrichment Associate must ensure that all activity procedures are followed in accordance with the established policies. He/She is responsible for carrying out planned activity programs and must have the ability to observe the response of persons participating in the group to determine modifications appropriate to the activity. Experience in senior activities preferred. Full Time Tuesday-Saturday Come work where tradition is rich and your hard work will be appreciated. DUTIES Duties include but are not limited to: Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Life Enrichment Associate/ Activity Coordinator by planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating Activity programs. Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and resident progress are evaluated by noting, reporting and charting resident behavior. Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to the service. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information (HIPAA). Maintain a neat and clean work environment. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel. Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary. Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs, objectives and goals when possible. Participate in the community planning related to the interest of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent. Ideal candidate lives in within 15 miles of 6016 N. Nina Ave (60631) Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical. Covid Vaccination Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
