Summer Internship option is outlined as the first Tuesday in June through the first week of August. (Potential to extend through mid-August, as the intern may have planned vacation.)
TWO OPPORTUNITIES OPEN:
For School Credit / Undergraduate An opportunity is open for an intern who will participate in the summer or spring 10-week session, and who will then return to school to graduate the following December or May. This internship is not a paid position, however the experience offers school credit, provided the academic counselors approve the process. This unique experience will provide hands-on experience in digital marketing campaigns and position the intern for a successful next semester. This opportunity also allows for continued collaboration with DS throughout the following academic semester (or year) on uniquely focused social media initiatives. (The intern returns to school as a DS Brand Ambassador.) For Paid Internship / Graduate An opportunity is open for an intern who has just graduated who is looking for opportunities during the summer, or during the spring, should they be a December graduate. This internship is a paid position, and it is our hope that the intern will then be able to stay on with the company in a full-time position, should there be a need for the intern’s capability. (Ie: Intern specializes in SEO, and an SEO position is open.) This internship provides a robust learning environment focused on expanding digital marketing knowledge. Client Project management, and management for DS’s philanthropic event
Digital Marketing Intern Content Strategy & Planning Conduct keyword research using SEO tools to identify content opportunities Develop content calendars aligned with business objectives and seasonal trends Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content supports overall marketing strategy Content Creation & Optimization Write engaging, SEO-optimized blog posts, landing pages, and website copy Optimize existing content for improved search engine visibility Ensure all content follows on-page SEO best practices (meta titles, descriptions, headers, internal linking) Create content that addresses different stages of the customer journey Performance Analysis & Reporting Monitor content performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO tools (i.e., Ahrefs, SEOCrawl, SEMRush) Track keyword rankings and organic traffic growth Assist with link building Identify opportunities for content improvement based on data insights Technical SEO Support Assist with basic technical SEO tasks and site audits Collaborate with web development team on SEO implementations Ensure content follows technical SEO guidelines for site structure and user experience Paid Search Strategy Assist with implementing search engine marketing campaigns and analyze the effectiveness of past and ongoing paid search campaigns with the goal of optimizing your clients' presence on Google and other search engines. Gain experience in placing ads on Google, Bing, Meta and LinkedIn Assist with keyword research, campaign setup, and ad copy creation on platforms like Google Ads Learn to monitor ad spend and to work within Google Analytics Strategic Account Management Learn how we work hand in hand to collaborate with our clients on their business goals Assist in note taking to recap client meetings, and documenting cascading messages Work within the Teamwork system to assign tasks to team members so proper deadlines are understood and met Sales and Marketing Assist in endorsing and supporting the Digital Strike brand voice throughout internal and external messaging Support sales team in arranging meetings, and preparing for new client calls and meetings.
