Job Title: Lead Production Supervisor (Bilingual – Spanish Required)
Location: Near Northbrook, IL Industry: Automotive – Die Casting, Machining, CNC Salary Range: $75,000–$80,000 (Direct Hire) Shift: Starts at 7:00 AM – Schedule flexibility after onboarding Reports To: Manager Team Size: ~15 direct reports Interview Process: Onsite – Immediate need
About the Role:
We’re seeking a hands-on, bilingual (Spanish preferred) Supervisor to lead a production value stream within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This full-time, direct-hire role is ideal for a driven leader with a background in high-paced operations who can guide their team to meet key production goals while upholding safety and quality standards.
You’ll collaborate closely with departments such as CNC, Quality, and Customer Support to ensure smooth, efficient production and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and performance goals Partner with cross-functional teams including CNC, Quality, and Client Care Plan and organize production schedules with customer service input Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and support onboarding of new team members Provide coaching on performance and attendance Track and report daily outcomes (machine downtime, operator efficiency) Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and team productivity Ensure safe work practices and train team to recognize unsafe conditions Maintain and drive key production metrics (OEE, 5S, On-Time Delivery, PPM returns) Apply Lean manufacturing tools and foster a culture of continuous improvement Mentor, motivate, and discipline team members as needed Take full ownership of the value stream – manage it like a business unit What You'll Do:
Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals Coordinate with team members, CNC operators, Client Care, and Quality Techs Plan and organize production schedules in collaboration with customer service Manage workflow, assign daily tasks, and support new hire training Monitor performance and attendance; coach as needed Maintain daily production reports (downtime, operator efficiencies) Oversee scheduling and timekeeping of team members Enforce workplace safety and train team to identify and stop unsafe actions Drive KPIs including OEE, 5S, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and PPM returns Promote and apply Lean manufacturing principles Foster a high-performing, team-oriented culture focused on quality and efficiency Support mentoring, motivation, training, and disciplinary processes as needed Lead like an owner – treating your value stream as your business unit Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (Required) Previous experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment Strong leadership and communication skills Proven ability to coach, develop, and manage a team of 15+ Comfortable with early start times (7:00 AM), with flexibility later
