Job Description Salary: Based on Experience 75-85k Addictions Behavioral Health Center of America, dba/ The Source, is a Joint Commission-accredited addiction treatment facility that offers multiple levels of care to help men and women overcome alcohol and drug addiction. Our mission is to provide a family environment where clients get connected to their mind, body, and spirit through support groups, 12-step programs, and society.

We are looking to hire an energetic and motivated substance abuse and dual diagnosis Clinical Director with a background in addictions preferred. This person will ensure that the day-to-day operations of the Addictions Behavioral Health Center of America run efficiently, ethically, and smoothly. The Clinical Director is responsible for formulating and providing oversight to new program development, supervising existing programs within the facility, and providing effective collaboration between the administrative and clinical management. He/she is also a member of the Treatment Team and provides input into the development of the patients clinical record and treatment course. Ensuring the facility complies with all necessary certifications, licensures, and staff trainings and competencies.

Responsibilities include: Provides ongoing supervision and support to clinical and non-clinical staff. Assures that the patient and staff log is updated daily. Works with referral sources. Oversees a regular systemic review of billing procedures to ensure total compliance with AHCA regulations. Coordination and scheduling of employee training. Completion of department goals and objectives for assigned areas of responsibility or departments. Works with departmental budgets with input from directors and/or supervisors. Works closely and coordinates activities related to Support Services with other management staff. Acts as liaison to medical and mental health professional staff, the Board of Directors, to assure that issues are addressed and complaints are resolved. Addresses patient, family, consultant, and employee complaints in a timely and effective manner. Administers weekly staff meetings and participates in Treatment Team meetings. With other management personnel, ensures the facilitys compliance with the Joint Commission, the Department of Children and Family Services, and other regulatory agencies. Assures appropriate representation on various Performance Improvement Team (e.g., Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Leadership, Rights, Responsibilities, Ethics, and Safety, etc.) Keeps abreast of legislative and legal changes that may have an impact on operations. Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment plan meetings and notify the medical director of the patients compliance with their ordered

psychiatric/medications,

and any possible medication reactions. Keeps a written ongoing record for both the patients chart and the medical director of all medications ordered for each patient and of any discontinued medications. Communicates to the patients primary therapist regarding any medication changes ordered by a psychiatric or medical physician, as well as any other medication or medical issues, such as the patient experiencing possible side effects. Communicates to the patients primary therapist any medical problems that can interfere with or are interfering with their participation in the program. Participates in discharge planning team meetings and completes a discharge summary, including a

medical/pharmacological

treatment summary and the patients summary in the patients medical record. Indicates and completes initial nursing assessment within 24 hours. Shares pertinent information with the team as obtained from patients or family throughout the program. Collaborates with the medical staff to provide medical and nursing care. Provides individual therapy at least once a week to patients on their medications, usage, and special medical conditions requiring patient education. Documents client

according to established policies and procedures. Assesses the patients ongoing needs and referrals to the doctor as needed Performs clinical activities in a safe, professional manner & maintains compliance with established mental health care standards. Coordinates and assures that all physicians laboratory orders and orders for referrals to outside physicians are communicated accurately and carried out. Reports abuse of patients rights immediately. Performs other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications: Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and character. Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and clients in a positive manner. Knowledge of evidence-based practices. Understanding of Substance Use Disorders and Co-occurring Disorders. Experience in database management and record keeping. Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy practices. Solution-based thinker and problem solver. Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Knowledge of DCF Guidelines and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards. Must pass a Level II Background

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of healthcare management experience is required, with a mental health background preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in an intensive substance abuse outpatient or inpatient setting is preferred.

Education: Master's Degree in a related field (Mental Health

Counseling/Psychology/Social

Work) Licensed professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
