SUMMARY Set up, operates, and maintains conventional and special purpose machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. Fits and assembles machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures and shop mathematics.

Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7am – 3:20pm with occasional Saturdays Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to set up and operate tool room equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, CNC VMCs, saws, and drill presses. Ability to produce parts using blueprints, sketches, and drawings. Familiar with machine repair and troubleshooting, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems (fabrication and electronics experience is desirable) Work overtime when required. Desire to learn CNC Programming Other duties as assigned.

Competencies Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, engineering drawings, safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Required education and experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Read, write and speak in English. Three (3) or more years trade school or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education and experience TMA or equivalent training
