Job Description As a Project Engineer, you will be involved with all facets of the business. You will work under the direction of experienced Project Managers and Project Designers. You will have the opportunity to work on projects throughout the United States—and the world! This does not necessarily mean extensive travel. Job Responsibilities As a Project Engineer, you will work in a dynamic office and field environment, supporting projects in our aviation and logistics space, primarily in the US and some internationally. Your responsibilities may include: Performing site inspections and construction management tasks. Assessing project sites for feasibility and compliance. Assisting in developing CAD drawings and utilizing Revit for design purposes. Collaborating with architects, other design disciplines, and trades on the project team. Designing and conducting tests to confirm system performance. Monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Organizing and controlling project elements to ensure project completion. Preparing project status reports by analyzing and summarizing information. Conducting technical studies and preparing cost estimates. Verifying compliance with project specifications and customer requirements. Review drawings for quality and accuracy. Contributing to team efforts and maintaining the company's reputation. BNP is here to support you in these responsibilities. Qualifications Below is an outline of the qualifications for this position. We have many engineers that fall outside of this standard, so please do not be dissuaded from applying if you do not meet particular criteria: Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, aviation management, or airport planning. 0 – 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently. Strong problem-solving skills. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility to travel regularly. Prior experience with automated material handling systems operations is a plus. Experience and knowledge in logistics and warehousing is also a plus. Familiarity with Revit, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD software for design purposes is desired. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Working Conditions This is a full-time position based in Chicago, IL. The role requires occasional travel to airports and warehousing facilities for site work. The successful candidate must pass federal criminal background checks and screening to obtain airport security badges. Standard 40-hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet deadlines. Projects that the successful candidate will participate in will require background checks and may require drug screening. SALARY $70,000- 95,000 annually,
