Maintenance Supervisor (2nd shift)

Location : Montgomery, IL

Pay Rate :$80K-$90K

Seeking a hands-on, driven, and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift maintenance team in Montgomery, IL. In this role, you’ll oversee daily maintenance operations while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all systems—from electrical and mechanical to HVAC and general facilities. This is a key leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong team management. Job Duties:

Lead and supervise the 2nd shift maintenance team. Troubleshoot and repair equipment across multiple systems:

Electrical: 3-phase, drive systems, code compliance. Mechanical: Pumps, conveyors, drives. PLC/Automation: Siemens, Allen Bradley, ladder logic. Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Reading prints, rebuilding. Welding & Fabrication: MIG, TIG, Stick, torch cutting, brazing. HVAC & Boilers: Ammonia/Freon, glycol chillers, high/low pressure. Instrumentation & Controls: Calibration and diagnostics. General Facilities: Plumbing, roofing, fire systems, lighting, etc.

Enforce GMPs and safety protocols (LOTO, confined space, etc.). Maintain accurate reports on maintenance activities and equipment status. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth plant operations. Promote a proactive maintenance culture and continuous improvement. Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 4+ years in mechanical or electrical trades preferred. Vocational training may count toward experience. Prior experience in food

processing/packaging/plant

utilities a plus. Strong leadership skills—able to direct, train, and motivate teams. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking ability. Must be tech-savvy and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in cold environments (40°ree;F or below). Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and mandatory OT.
