Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Calibration Technician to support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation used in R&D and analytical testing. This role is critical in ensuring equipment performance and compliance with GMP/GLP standards across analytical labs supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences operations. Analytical instruments may include:
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Vis Spectrophotometers (Spectro), Microplate Readers, FPLC Systems (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography), Viscometers / Viscosity Measurement Systems, pH Meters and Conductivity Meters, Balances (analytical and micro),
Temperature/Humidity
Chambers, Ovens and Incubators, Refrigerators and Freezers (including ultra-low).
Job Dut
ies:
Perform routine and non-routine calibration of analytical laboratory equipment per SOPs, manufacturer instructions, and regulatory requirements. Document calibration results and maintain equipment logs and calibration records in accordance with quality standards. Troubleshoot and assist with minor repairs or coordinate service when necessary. Partner with lab staff, quality assurance, and metrology teams to ensure timely calibration and equipment readiness. Support audits and inspections by providing accurate records and instrument history. Maintain calibration standards, tools, and inventory in good working order. Contribute to continuous improvement of calibration processes and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
Formal education in a scientific or technical field preferred (or equivalent technical training) 2+ years of calibration experience in a regulated laboratory environment (pharma, biotech, med device preferred) Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, and ISO standards Familiarity with documentation practices and calibration software/systems (e.g., CMMS) Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
