Town of Milford Water Utilities Department Full-time Distribution Collections Technician The Milford Water Utilities Department has a great opportunity for a Distribution Collections Technician. This is a full-time (40 hr/wk) position in our Water Utilities Department (WUD). The successful candidate must be able to perform skilled tasks involving a variety of maintenance, construction, repair activities and snow removal within the Water Utilities Department (i.e. wastewater, collection system and the water
treatment/distribution
operations) and the Public Works Department (pipe crew). The individual will be responsible for reading, installing, replacing, removing, testing and maintenance of meters. Attends to various distribution system tasks of a semi-skilled and skilled capacity in the operation & maintenance of Wastewater Department Equipment. DUTIES:
Duties include attending to system hydrant flushes, close/open valves, pipe repairs, repair of curb boxes, locating curb boxes, and responsible for material inventory. REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent Valid NH CDL Class B License Requires the ability to understand the basic physical, chemical, and biological principles of wastewater treatment. Candidate must receive Grade 1 Collection System certification, or ability to obtain one, within one (1) year. Candidate must receive Grade 1 NH Distribution System certification, or ability to obtain one, within one (1) year Must be able to operate Supervisory Control and Data Automation (SCADA) System. Requires ability to be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call for a periodic seven (7)-day rotation. The position requires a weekend rotation (2-3 hrs/Sat-Sun). There are times the individual would be on-call and OT would be expected. GENERAL: Pay: Commensurate with experience. A complete job description is available for your review.
