Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you will be essential in providing service, repair, maintenance, and installation for residential customers, while also training apprentices. Your daily responsibilities include: Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.

Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct problems.

Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.

Advising management on whether the continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.

Maintaining a current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.

Planning the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

Directing and training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Preparing sketches or following blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.

Training and working one-on-one with Electrical apprentices.

What We're Looking For Must hold a Master or Journeyman Electrical license, with an E1 license required.

Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must have completed a minimum of 4 years of trade school in Electrical.

A minimum of 4 years of related work experience is preferred.

Must be willing to participate in technical continuing education.

The ability to perform essential duties including assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.

The ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including those described as representative of the required physical abilities.
