Summary The Quality Control Technician is primarily responsible to managing rejects, supplier complaints and special test requests/data collection. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time. Partakes in all safety training and exhibits safe behavior at all times. Performing quality test procedures as required and specified by the production paperwork. Communicates plant wide quality performance on reject waste Preparing or retesting samples for customer/supplier complaints. Managing special requests for data and testing for the lab as a whole Supporting QA and QC as necessary. Maintaining specifications and making changes to specifications as required through spec change process and approved by Technical and Manufacturing. Uses SAP as required. Assists with administration of ISO procedures. Use of production reporting system to ensure accuracy of data and labels. 5S and housekeeping Participate in continuous improvement projects. Be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication and assisting each other during all steps of operation. Ability to work various shifts, weekends and overtime if needed Education and /or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); quality experience in a manufacturing setting a plus. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 6:45am-7pm Day Shift 6:45pm-7am Night Shift Rotating 2,2,3,2 12-hour schedule, 36-48 hours per week
