Job Description
Role Type:
Future opportunities across the U.S. Industry:
Commercial Construction Travel Required:
Yes — nationwide, with per diem Compensation:
Competitive pay + full benefits (client-dependent) Let’s Build What’s Next—for You
We’re
Shades of Grey HR —a boutique construction recruiting firm with years of combined experience in construction. We were once owners and in the field ourselves for over 20+ years. We know the work. We know the pains. We understand. We're building a
specialized pipeline of traveling project managers
for upcoming client projects nationwide. We don’t post and pray. We handpick high-performing field leaders who can run commercial jobs from mobilization through closeout—and we match them with companies who value what they bring to the table: grit, experience, and the ability to get things done. If you’re a strong superintendent who’s open to
future opportunities —better pay, better schedules, more respect—we want to talk now. Not when you're desperate for a change. What We Do (and What You Can Expect)
We
listen first —what kind of company do you want next? What region, schedule, or pay are you after? We keep your profile
on deck
for roles with trusted contractors across the U.S. When the right fit hits our desk, you’ll be the first to know.
No cold submittals. No client spam. If you're a match, we handle the process start to finish—no games, just transparency. Who You Are
Must-Haves: 5–10+ years managing
commercial construction projects
(ground-up, TI, or renovations) Comfortable traveling full-time for projects across the U.S. Strong at budgets, bids, change orders, and PM software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.) Skilled in field communication and client-facing roles You’re as good with numbers as you are with people Nice-to-Haves: PMP or OSHA 30 certifications Experience with large-scale ($10M–$100M) multi-state projects Familiarity with BIM or Lean Construction practices Proven success leading diverse, cross-functional teams Desire to eventually step into a Senior PM or Project Executive track What’s In It for You
Every project is different—but our clients offer packages that typically include: Top pay for top talent Company truck or allowance Per diem + full travel accommodations Health, dental, vision, and retirement plans Paid time off, performance bonuses, and more Next Step: Let’s Get You on Our Radar
If you’re not actively looking now, that’s fine. Let’s still connect. We’ll do an intake call to understand your goals and strengths—and keep your profile ready for the right opportunity. When it comes, you’ll already be ahead of the pack. Apply now
to join our exclusive Traveling Project Manager pipeline. We’ll reach out personally to get started.
