Mechanical Contractor
in the
Wilmington, DE
area to find an experienced
Mechanical Project Manager . This on-site role offers long-term stability with little to no travel and is requiring candidates with 5+ years of experience managing commercial and industrial mechanical piping, plumbing, and sheet metal projects. This is a mix of design/build and retrofit work with large project experience being a plus. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all project phases to ensure seamless execution from start to finish. Develop and maintain project schedules to meet key milestones. Estimate, negotiate, and track change orders effectively. Manage project budgets and approve all related expenses. Oversee contract administration and
subcontractor/equipment
buyouts. Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders. Maintain detailed project records and ensure proper closeout documentation. Conduct punch-list inspections with superintendents and owner representatives. Build and foster strong client relationships to drive repeat business opportunities. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager handling projects $5M+. Expertise in new build and retrofit projects within commercial and industrial mechanical systems. Strong ability to establish timelines, manage budgets, and negotiate change orders. Proven multi-tasking and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lead effective, multi-discipline meetings. A stable, verifiable record of project management success. Strong understanding of project financials and cost control. Anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
