Our projects range from energy management systems (EMS) and remote refrigeration platforms to custom-built walk-ins and ice machine installations. We are known for precision, efficiency, and industry-leading service in both large-scale commercial rollouts and complex custom applications. We are growing and seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team and help us build the future of refrigeration contracting with clarity, cost control, and confidence. Position Summary As an Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, reviewing blueprints and site conditions, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams to support accurate proposals and bids. You will play a critical role in ensuring Epic Mechanical Solutions wins profitable work that aligns with our operational strengths and service excellence. Key Responsibilities
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents for commercial refrigeration projects.
Develop detailed project estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
Perform take-offs, validate quantities, and apply cost codes aligned with job tracking systems.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing, availability, and scope verification.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure constructability and logistical feasibility.
Prepare bid packages and participate in proposal reviews and handoff meetings.
Maintain and refine historical cost data and estimating templates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Identify value engineering opportunities and scope alternatives that reduce cost or improve delivery.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of estimating experience in commercial HVAC/R, mechanical systems, or general contracting
Ability to interpret and quantify from mechanical drawings, SOWs, and spec sheets
Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, codes, and installation best practices
Excellent math and organizational skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience & Tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs)
Familiarity with Procore, BuildOps, Plan Rooms, or other construction management platforms
Estimating software experience (such as QuoteSoft, FastPIPE, or equivalent) a plus
Knowledge of material pricing databases and supplier networks
