Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will support the finance and accounting team with daily accounting functions, month-end close activities, and accurate financial reporting. This role provides a strong foundation for growth in construction accounting and offers hands-on experience with job costing, reconciliations, and reporting.
This is an on-site position at our Broward County, FL, location.
Qualified applicants must reside within a reasonable driving distance from Broward County, FL. We are not collaborating with agencies for this hire. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with monthly close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports - Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded - Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports - Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies - Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job cost entries - Provide support for audits and compliance requirements - Work with the operations team to ensure accurate tracking of project costs - Help identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency - Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
