Production Manager
is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across compounding and fulfilment to ensure seamless coordination, workflow efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This role focuses on aligning production output with fulfillment capacity through strategic planning, process optimization, and cross-department collaboration. Utilizing lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making, the Production Manager plays a vital role in maximizing operational performance, reducing waste, and improving turnaround time. Strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical operations are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate production and fulfilment workflows to ensure timely processing and delivery of compounded products
Serve as the primary liaison between compounding, fulfilment, procurement, QA, and warehouse teams to maintain operational alignment
Monitor production schedules, resolve process bottlenecks, and maintain optimal inventory levels to support demand
Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs across production and fulfilment to ensure consistency and compliance
Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies and continuously improve workflow and resource utilization
Analyze operational data using Excel and related tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and drive strategic improvements
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including production output, order accuracy, and turnaround time, and present performance reports to leadership
Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, safety protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements in all areas of production and fulfilment
Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, cost-control efforts, and long-term planning for operational growth
Technical and Administrative Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, including use of pivot tables, formulas, filters, and charts for data analysis
Ability to develop and maintain SOP documentation and compliance protocols
Familiarity with production scheduling, inventory management, and workflow planning
Understanding of KPIs and metrics for operational efficiency and service quality
Experience using data analytics to drive continuous improvement and cost savings
Soft Skills: Effective leadership and team management in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proactive problem-solving abilities with a data-oriented mindset
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Excellent time and priority management to meet operational deadlines
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Pharmacy Operations, or a related field
Experience in a pharmaceutical production, mail-order pharmacy, or healthcare operations environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business analytics tools
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred)
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex workflows
Experience developing and optimizing operational SOPs
Work Environment and Physical Demands: On-site compounding and fulfilment pharmacy environment
Exposure to moderate noise and routine production-related activities
Requires use of computers, handheld devices, and standard office software
Requires physical movement between departments and attention to detail in quality-sensitive tasks
Ability to stay focused and organized in high-volume, deadline-driven settings
Location:
Miami Gardens, FL Schedule:
Full-time, 44 hours/week, Monday–Friday, Standard office hours This is a 100% onsite role; remote or hybrid work is not available Pay Range
$75,000—$75,000 USD
