JOB OVERVIEW The Shop Apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians, inspectors, engineers and stock room clerks to learn and develop skills related to the repair. This hands-on apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain practical experience, technical knowledge, and professional skills while adhering to safety standards and company procedures. As an apprentice, you will assist with various tasks, including repairs, installations, and routine maintenance, while working toward an opportunity to become a Level 1 Technician within FTAI. The role requires a strong willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced and safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities: Perform preservation tasks as per engine manual. Engine stand removal and installations as per engine manual. Support the removal, and installation of inside of containers. Work closely with experienced technicians, engineers, inspectors, and supervisors to develop technical expertise. Cleaning and maintenance of Containers and Engine Stands Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored at the end of shifts. Help with the issuance and filing of documentation of work performed inside of ERP system. Assist and perform stockroom functions as needed. Ad-hoc tasks required for the proper functioning of the shop. Perform special projects as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Basic knowledge of aircraft engines and mechanical systems (preferred). Preferred: Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good problem-solving and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for documentation and training modules. Willingness to learn, self-motivated and reliable Work Environment & Conditions MRO - ETC shops. Exposure to noise and equipment. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces. Inspector Materials Coordination Records Clerk Supply Chain / Warehouse Associates Job Demands: Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance.
