Contract Salary : $50–$60/hr Benefits : Medical, dental, vision Sterling Engineering is looking for a Sr. Project Controls Specialist in Portland, OR. This opportunity is with a utility company supporting capital projects in transmission and distribution. Job Duties :
Lead project controls efforts with a focus on cost control Act as a mentor and key knowledge resource within the group Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera Analyze project costs and variances using SAP; ensure corrections are made Support large construction projects across the project life cycle Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of project controls experience Prior utility and large construction project experience Proficient in SAP, Primavera, and MS Office Strong understanding of project scheduling and cost control Preferred: CPM Certification and experience in electric utility design or construction Schedule: Standard 40-hour week. Base schedule is 7:00–4:00 or 8:00–5:00 with a 1-hour lunch. Minimal overtime expected.
