Position : Senior Accountant
Reports To:
Corporate Controller
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing industry and a proven track record of enhancing financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounting operations related to company’s Accounts Receivable and Banking activity. Responsible for daily reconciliation of multiple company bank accounts. Responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Receivable process and revenue analysis. Cross train with other F&A team members to better assist in company goals and growth initiatives. Documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to assigned tasks. Assist the Controller with successful annual audit completion. Continued ERP and processes advancements to ensure efficiencies are maximized for departmental and company growth. Complete various month-end close activities including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial statement completion in accordance with GAAP. Prepare monthly journal entries, as assigned. Identify areas of
opportunity/weakness
within business processes and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency. Provide analytical and data collection support to management as required during monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Provide commentary on the monthly financial reporting package regarding actual results versus budget and historical. Other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and complex spreadsheet analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skill Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Proficient in ERP/accounting software, preferably NetSuite or similar Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Sum Ifs, etc.) Strong working knowledge of GAAP Strong analytical mindset
