This is the intermediate level for maintenance where employees are expected to work independently. A maintenance Technician II will perform skilled preventative, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance and troubleshooting while maintaining the preservation and good functionality of both machinery and premises. A maintenance technician II will be involved with training of entry level and new hire maintenance employees. Employees considered a maintenance technician II are at a journey level or equivalent in their knowledge of maintenance functions.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
· Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
· Assist in the setup of new machinery and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
· Maintain safety standards while performing job functions
· Perform maintenance of electrical systems: fuses, npn, pnp, electrical diagram reading
· Perform maintenance functions through a preventative maintenance system such as filter changing and replacement, oil changes, cleaning and greasing of equipment, etc
· Mold maintenance: thermocouples, manifold heaters, damage inspection, etc
· Maintain heating/plumbing/cooling systems on fixtures to ensure functionality
· Hydraulic repair: basic hydraulic diagram reading, troubleshooting
· Use of welder, torches, band saws, drill press, and other associated power tools
· Perform manual repairs on all machinery and facilities when necessary
· Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, plumbing, etc)
· Certified in hi-lo, overhead crane, and scissor lift operation
· Can look up work order history, and can look up existing work orders in computerize maintenance system
· Other duties as assigned

*Qualifications, Experience, and Specific Skills Required:*
*Education/Experience: *
· High School or equivalent preferred.
· 2-4 years’ experience in maintenance or related field preferred
· 1-3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance preferred
*Specific Skills: *
* Advanced knowledge of electrical systems * Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems * Knowledge of robot’s and fixtures in use in assigned plant * Strong troubleshooting abilities * Electrical and hydraulic diagram reading * Schematic reading * Welding and fabrication skills
