*Director of Water Resources & Wastewater Engineering Job Description*

*I. Company Overview:* Dynotec, Inc., a thriving professional engineering consulting firm with offices in Columbus, Akron, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh, is seeking a skilled Director of Water Resources & Wastewater Engineering to join our growing team.

*II. Position Summary:* The Director of Water Resources & Wastewater Engineering will be in our Columbus, OH office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water resources, and wastewater engineering, specifically within Central Ohio municipalities, including the City of Columbus and surrounding areas. Knowledge of the City of Cincinnati and/or City of Cleveland would also be a plus.

The Director of Water Resources & Wastewater Engineering will lead and manage projects related to water resources, storm water, watershed management, flood mitigation, water/wastewater systems, treatment plant design, pipeline and force main design, pump stations, lift stations, and solids handling facilities.

This role involves working closely with clients, sub-contractors, and internal teams.

*III. Position Responsibilities:*

* Lead the design and management of storm water, drainage systems, flood mitigation, water and wastewater systems, treatment plants, pipelines, force mains, pump stations, and lift stations. * Coordinate and oversee technical design work, and overall project management, ensuring both technical and financial success. * Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, permits, and other necessary documents for both preliminary and final designs. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. * Develop, supervise, train, and mentor engineering teams to ensure projects meet goals and deliverables on time and within scope. * Collaborate with the financial team for fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and timely invoicing. * Work with CAD design teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive technical drawings for each project. * Maintain regular communication with clients and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure project milestones are achieved. * Prepare and present project updates, technical reports, and other documentation to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.

*IV. Position Requirements:*

* B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field of study. * Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience, including at least 5 years in project management/team leadership roles. * Licensed PE in the State of Ohio for 3+ years. * Experience in designing and managing water/wastewater systems, storm water management, flood mitigation, drainage design, and treatment plant projects. * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

*V. Preferred Qualifications:*

* Local project experience with municipalities and agencies such as the City of Columbus, Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD), and surrounding areas is preferred.
