Job Title: Clerical Support for Accounts Receivable Office

This position serves as clerical support for the Accounts Receivable Office at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). Position will work on filing paperwork, uploading documents to Etrieve, updating addresses on student accounts from returned mail, sending email reminders to students and 3rd party sponsors, providing customer service to students, and provide general office support to frontline and specialist staff, coordinators, and the Assistant Bursar supervisors. Position may be asked to help table events across all SLCC campuses. Position will have access to confidential information and will be expected to adhere to FERPA guidelines. Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Efficiently support staff by sending email reminders and notification to both students and 3rd party sponsors. Provide basic customer service to students by answering or directing their questions to the appropriate specialist. Scan and upload student documentation into document storage software, Etrieve. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Work with Coordinator 1, AR Customer Service, in maintaining office supplies, tracking inventory, and arranging for service calls as needed, for the Redwood location. Participate in regular meetings and training with the Accounts Receivable team and Office of the Bursar staff in-person and virtually. Perform student account research. Manage the processing of address updates derived from returned mail, ensuring timely and accurate changes in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Assist with tasks in areas of specialization such as bankruptcy, collections, sponsorship, payment plans, and other miscellaneous tasks in said areas. Complete College required training, such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Anti-Discrimination & Harassment Avoidance (ADHA), OSHA Emergency Procedures, Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Workplace Violence (WPV). - Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Meet work-study financial aid qualifications. Computer skills. Available to work a minimum of 6-10 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Spanish speaking is preferred. Experience working in higher education. Customer service experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Banner is a plus.
