Position Summary:
The Client Service Associate - Portfolio Management role focuses on supporting portfolio management activities and being a subject matter expert on products, platforms and client reporting. Responsibilities include assisting with account openings, processing paperwork, scheduling client meetings, and preparing basic reports. This role will manage model portfolios for individual equities and fixed income investments, execute trades, and ensure proper delivery of separately managed accounts (SMAs). The role also involves learning about investment products and improving internal processes under supervision. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing friendly and professional client service.
This role will be based out of our Towson, MD office location.
Primary Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management: Participate in portfolio management activities for model portfolios, specifically, individual equities and fixed income; each subject to the customized investment needs of the client.
Activities include, but are not limited to, the management of liquidity needs, the execution of model portfolio trading, fixed income trading and SMA delivery and management.
Organize and maintain the CRM system (Salesforce), utilize financial planning software (eMoney).
Ensure that Partners and Principals have adequate information to perform daily portfolio management duties (strong focus on portfolio management system)
Assist in the management of all aspects of client relationships, including communication, trading and client service.
Client Servicing:
Assist the Wealth Advisor in the management of existing client relationships.
Assist advisory team with onboarding of new clients: customize our standard contract with new client information, obtain all appropriate forms from custodian, and work with each new client to ensure accurate completion. Coordinate submission with the custodian for processing.
Responsible for cash transfers, wires, data maintenance, reporting and trading as needed. Must have comprehensive knowledge of investment accounts, products, and the forms required to transact business.
Drive proactive process improvements for advisor and CSA team members.
Proactively interact with clients and assist in creating an outstanding client experience.
Assist with the timely completion and submission of all client related transaction requests.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Salesforce or Orion
Experience with financial planning software
Series 65
Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrate strong and effective leadership skills through clear communication and collaboration with others.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills with both external clients and internal collaboration.
Ability to listen and empathize with clients, spot, and analyze issues, and simplify/explain financial concepts to provide solutions.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required.
Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Compensation Range:
$65,000-85,000
