Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong expertise in the Life Sciences domain to drive product vision, strategy, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing product backlogs, defining requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries. This role requires a blend of business domain knowledge, product management skills, and stakeholder engagement expertise to ensure that products meet regulatory, scientific, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business and regulatory goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and development teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and well-defined user stories.
Ensure compliance with life sciences industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GxP, HIPAA, EMA).
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
Work closely with QA, engineering, and business teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Provide domain expertise to guide product design and feature prioritization.
Track product performance and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Must-Have Skills
Proven experience as a Product Owner in Life Sciences / Pharma / Biotech / Healthcare domain.
Strong understanding of clinical trials, regulatory requirements, drug development, or pharmacovigilance.
Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Ability to create and maintain user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into product features.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, EMA, or other global regulatory frameworks.
Experience with product management tools (Jira, ADO, Rally, Confluence).
Exposure to clinical data management, R&D systems, or lab informatics (LIMS, ELN, CDMS).
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in life sciences for data-driven product innovation.
Product Owner certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
Prior experience with global life sciences organizations."
