A friendly and fast-paced pediatric dental office in Brooklyn is seeking a Dental Receptionist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of the practice, supporting smooth front desk operations and ensuring a positive experience for the young patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families with a warm and professional attitude Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and schedule appointments Verify insurance details and patient information before visits Maintain and update patient records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality Handle appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling Process payments and assist with basic billing tasks Communicate effectively with dental staff regarding patient needs and scheduling Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly front desk area Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred Open to working at a secondary location in Long Island once a week (travel reimbursement provided) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable interacting with children and families Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Reliable and punctual, with the ability to travel to Hewlett once a week
