Secretary Position
We are looking for a skilled Secretary to join our team on a contract basis in Hartford, Connecticut. This position requires an individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and can support multiple attorneys effectively. Provide essential support to ensure the smooth flow of operations. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to several attorneys, managing schedules and prioritizing tasks to ensure efficiency. Prepare, format, and file legal documents in compliance with state and federal court rules, including e-filing procedures. Maintain and manage calendars, ensuring all deadlines, appointments, and court dates are accurately tracked. Assist in drafting correspondence, reports, and other documentation. Coordinate with court personnel and other parties to facilitate case proceedings. Organize and manage case files and client records using document management systems. Handle dictation and transcription tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Ensure compliance with administrative procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Support the team with any additional tasks related to litigation processes. Requirements: At least three years of experience, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and language. Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Proficiency in supporting multiple attorneys and prioritizing tasks effectively. Knowledge of court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and administrative procedures for both state and federal courts. Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with document management systems such as I-Manage is preferred. Experience with e-filing, calendar management, court filings, and dictation.
