Job Summary
The HR Coordinator will aid and facilitate the daily administrative functions of the Human Resource Department including recruiting, employee orientation, and education training program responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Follow up with candidates with incomplete applications Prepare and follow up on offer letters and flagging agreements via email Completes Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files Assist with completion of new hire/onboarding checklist after day one Assist with drug and alcohol screening process Run MVR and background checks as needed Compile LMS excel sheet with upcoming new hires and submit to IT for enrollment Enter new hire information to dashboard Act as backup to the HR Specialist presenting new hire orientations, onboarding and offboarding Assist RWIC Academy with prequalifying candidates before sending over to hiring manager Aids with new hire training and follow-up Assists with SMS and rail worker badge recertification, data maintenance, and mailing of badges Monitor HR email inboxes and voicemails and act as first response to candidate inquiries/follow ups Reset and send new logins for multiple systems Administer and monitoring the new hire, annual harassment trainings Participate in HR projects Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs Culture and Conduct

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Possesses advanced oral, written, and electronic communication skills Exceptional computer skills including standard office suite applications Ability to effectively interact with and influence at all organizational levels Ability to effectively adjust to changing priorities and situations; and execute a broad variety of projects, sometimes simultaneously Must be detail oriented with a strong focus on accurate data management and organization of information and daily tasks Proficiency with e-mail as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite) Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience Office experience preferred Preferred Education and Experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated proficiency with presentations in front of large groups Effective interpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively with employees at all levels using a customer service approach Strong organizational and analytical skills Basic knowledge of HR concepts with emphasis on staffing processes, internal HR policies, employment law and interviewing techniques or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
