SUMMARY:

The Records and Information Coordinator will support the Firm's data compliance process on a Firm-wide and location specific basis. The RIC will be responsible for filing, organizing and retrieving information as requested by attorneys and their designees. The ideal team member will also support the Information Governance Director by adhering to established policies and procedures and act as a champion for the records management process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Records and Information Manager: Support the Firm's records management program ensuring alignment with the Firm's with legal, regulatory, financial, and operational recordkeeping requirements. Adhere to the records management policies and seek clarification if deviation from policy is needed. Assist the General Counsel when needed to ensure that activities associated with legal holds and file transfers are managed in compliance with Firm policies. Recommend and support best practices for the records management program and team to ensure group is working at highest operational efficiencies in coordination with the IGD. Champion the Firm's records management approach to engage stakeholders and ensure compliance across the team in the office you support. Leverage Firm technology to support the records management program and ensure compliance with Firm policy. Advise Firm personnel on records management protocol as needed to ensure proper maintenance, receipt, transmittal, retrieval, and disposal of records and information as governed by local, state, federal rules, regulations and Firm rules. Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to maximize support and accomplish established goals. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Functional expertise in records and information management related to client matter records, evolving data privacy controls, and ability to follow Firm standards related to records management. Support Firmwide organization and maintenance of the records and information program. Ensure Firm documents are filed in accordance with Firm records policy. Facilitate data for entry into databases, scanning of documents for digital storage and management of electronic records based on policy protocols. Excellent Microsoft Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) skills required. Experience with enterprise technology solutions used for the management of both physical and electronic information. Experience with industry best practices for electronic and physical data retention, organization, and discovery. Understand the principles around managing both unstructured and structured data. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and workflow to ensure accuracy and quality. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, attorneys and senior leadership and clients (if applicable). Strong attention to details. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks. Comfortable working in a demanding environment where priorities change frequently. Excellent independent, decision-making capabilities and a solution-oriented attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Exceptional customer service and people skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree is preferred in records and information science, library science, or an associated discipline. 3+ years' experience in records management industry, records management systems and technology, and understanding of law as it applies to information management, retention and privacy is preferred. Professional certification in records management practice is desirable. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position requires sitting for the majority of the workday. May require lifting up to 5 - 20lbs when working with in-house data. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR :
