GFL Environmental is seeking a General Manager I to lead day-to-day operations at our Greenville, NC location. The General Manager I will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the branch, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency while driving revenue growth and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. Drive business growth through customer relationship management and market analysis. Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to meet operational goals and KPIs. Collaborate with regional leadership on strategic planning and performance optimization. Monitor and improve safety standards and environmental compliance across all departments. Support procurement, maintenance, and logistics operations to optimize service delivery. Analyze operational data and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Environmental Sciences, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in waste management, logistics, transportation, or a related industry. Proven ability to manage P&L responsibilities, budgets, and financial reporting. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing change, and delivering results. Working knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant industry software (e.g., routing, ERP, CRM systems). What We Offer
