Job Overview We're looking for a
Senior Cloud Architect
who is passionate about building cloud-native software products and enjoys taking ownership of the end-to-end development lifecycle. This role is ideal for technologists who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and want to play a key role in designing solutions that facilitate bi-directional data exchange using event-driven architecture across multi-cloud platforms. As a member of a small, high-impact product engineering team, you will help define architecture, guide product engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and cloud platforms. Define cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for multi-cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Develop specifications for new cloud-based products and services. Guide and mentor product engineers in the implementation of architecture decisions. Evaluate and ensure the compatibility and integration of proposed solutions across interdependent technologies. Collaborate with cloud security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security guidelines and policies. Influence department strategy and make architectural decisions for complex technical challenges. Operate with considerable autonomy in determining objectives and technical approaches.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in software engineering and cloud architecture. Strong hands-on experience with:
Java and Spring Boot Python AWS and multi-cloud environments DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Proven ability to design and build scalable, event-driven systems.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following security domains:
Application security Authentication and authorization Identity and access management (IAM) Static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) Data protection and security monitoring SSO and 2FA Vulnerability management
Advanced understanding of cloud security principles and challenges associated with deploying secure multi-cloud applications. Experience with cloud-native development, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Additional Information
This role reports to the Associate Director of Technology Solutions, IT - Business Data Analytics. You will work closely with security architects to ensure adherence to enterprise security standards and best practices.
