Monday - Friday, prefer Noon - 5 PM but willing to work with you on hours
The Opportunity:
The Binghamton JCC is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to help keep our facility spotlessly clean and well cared for. Your tasks will include:
Cleaning and Deep Cleaning tasks for classrooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, etc... to include vacuuming, dry & wet mopping floors, glass cleaning, sanitizing surfaces & touchpoints, cleaning sinks & toilets, and emptying trash Use of auto-scrubber (will train) for high traffic floors Handling set-ups and take-downs for various activities (setting out Pickleball nets, bringing in tables & chairs for events, etc...) Light electrical and plumbing work, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging sinks/toilets, etc... Assist with landscaping (mowing, trimming, weeding) and snow removal (snowblowing, shoveling, salting) Cleaning out and organizing storage spaces Other miscellaneous tasks as requested Able to lift 50 pounds easily Additional hours are available to cover for open shifts Salary:
$16.50 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
Who You Are:
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-years experience in cleaning commercial or educational facilities and general groundskeeping and facilities upkeep knowledge. You must have reliable transportation to and from work, and pride yourself on being on time to work every day. You must have the ability to work independently, love to clean, and have strong time management skills. You should have a basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment that are used to clean a large facility. Basic handyman skills are also required. We will provide additional training as needed.

Since its inception in 1927, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Binghamton, NY has grown to become an essential part of the Broome County community. As a full-service, non-profit organization, the JCC provides educational, cultural, recreational, and physical fitness programs to enhance the quality of life for all ages, from infants to senior citizens. As a non-sectarian United Way partner, the JCC welcomes participants regardless of age, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, or ability to pay.
The JCC facility houses a natatorium with a 2,250 square foot pool, newly refurbished gymnasium, fitness center, men's and women's health clubs with steam rooms and saunas, a fitness loft with spin bikes and Pilates reformers, auditorium, and more. Over 200 children are served daily at our award-winning Early Childhood Education center. Our year-round educational childcare includes UPK, after-school programs, summer camp, and youth sports offerings.
The 8-acre land also features outdoor Tennis/Pickleball and Basketball courts, Soccer field, and three age-appropriate playground facilities.
