Pay:

$20.70/hr - $28.58/hr

Note - Pay is dependent on pay and experience, with the top of the pay range reflecting someone who has held a similar position with a similar title and responsibilities for 10+ years.

Position Summary

The Credit Solutions Specialist resolves delinquency by using the appropriate course of action to minimize losses to the credit union. Assists in collection efforts by utilizing databases and other resources to locate members. Suggests additional products and resources to settle delinquency matters. Reviews budgets and/or hardship packages to provide appropriate options to membership. Supports processes to ensure a minimal loss to the credit union, such as bankruptcy, foreclosure, and repossession.

Utilizes positive interactions and negotiation skills to obtain and evaluate relevant financial information needed to determine the member's financial situation and identify possible solutions. Provides recommendations to management for accounts ready for repossession or at charge off status. Maintains consistent communication with management regarding all potential problems, irregularities, new developments, changes and other relevant information.

Knowledge Requirements Working knowledge of applicable collection laws and federal regulations Ability to multi-task Strong analytical skills Strong negotiation and motivation skills Working knowledge of bankruptcy related laws Working knowledge of data processing systems utilized in the collections area, including .DCS, .CHO, FDR (credit cards), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness and ability to learn on the job Ability to identify and coordinate the resolution of problems and inaccuracies. Ability to analyze work flow and develop procedural modifications Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively in team environment Knowledge of computer keyboard and PC Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work in several different software systems. Adheres to all federal, state and credit union regulations and policies. Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent College degree, preferred Previous collection experience preferred Previous lending experience preferred
