Executive Administrative Assistant

AC Transit is seeking two (2) experienced Executive Administrative Assistantsone to support our Chief Operating Officer and one to support the Executive Director of External Affairs and Customer Experience. Under the direction of an assigned executive, this position performs a wide variety of confidential and complex administrative and office support duties. Representative functions include screening office visitors and telephone calls, disseminating information using discretion, compiling data for reports, establishing and maintaining executive office files, coordinating meetings, making travel and conference arrangements, composing and proofreading correspondence, providing administrative support to District boards, and maintaining departmental content on the District's intranet and website. Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, accounting, or a related field, and at least six (6) years of recent and verifiable administrative support experience for executive-level management personnel, involving frequent public contact. Physical requirements include maintaining the physical condition necessary to perform tasks in an office setting and operate computers, possessing the mobility necessary to travel expeditiously within the AC Transit District, and being able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. This position is an underrepresented position. The selection process includes a completed online application by the filling date, screening for job-related qualifications, and an examination process that may include written, oral, and/or performance segments. Current District employees must have satisfactory attendance and performance records. Finalists will be placed on an Eligibility List.
