The Data Business Analyst III will have a strong focus on data-centric initiatives and serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data-related projects are delivered with clear requirements, measurable business value, and high-quality outcomes. This role will be pivotal in supporting enterprise data initiatives, including data governance, master data management, analytics, and reporting projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or relevant experience.

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with significant exposure to data projects. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, and BI/reporting tools. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS). Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities.

Travel: 10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationship and Communication Management: Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with BT Business Partners, project managers, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients. Aids in developing business cases/justification by performing research and collecting data. Requirements Management:

Uses standard templates and methods, collects, analyzes, develops, and documents the business requirements. Defines data quality, data lineage, and metadata requirements in collaboration with data governance teams. Problem Solving and Analysis:

Facilitates gathering of information required to determine level of effort for estimating cost, scope, timeline, process, and resources needed for project completion. Collaborates with technical teams to develop data models, ETL/ELT processes, and report solutions that align with business needs. Provides input on data platform enhancements, analytics dashboards, and self-service BI capabilities. Partners with data engineers, architects, and analysts to understand source systems, data models, and visualizations. Performs troubleshooting to understand problems and create a recommendation for a resolution. Ensures project, technical and business requirements, functional and non-functional, are identified, recorded and achieved throughout project execution Testing:

Supports development of test cases to ensure data requirements are met. Supports data validation testing as needed before user acceptance activities. Supports user acceptance testing liaising with the technical team members on issues identified. Manages issue resolution. Documentation & Process Improvement:

Maintains through documentation, including business process maps, data dictionaries, and change logs. Identifies opportunities to improve data-related processes, governance and analytics adoption. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
